Head of Engineering

The Job

We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming the complex world of German payroll. You’ll be the technical architect and leader responsible for building a secure, intelligent, and scalable SaaS platform from the ground up. About You

You’re a pragmatic, product-minded engineering leader who thrives on building things from scratch. You love moving between high-level architectural strategy and hands-on coding, and you have a passion for creating elegant solutions to complex problems. You lead by example, take deep ownership of your work, and are excited by the prospect of building not just a product, but also a world-class engineering culture.

• Extensive experience designing and building scalable, secure B2B SaaS applications.
• Proven track record of shipping AI/ML-powered products into production.
• Hands-on expertise with a modern backend stack (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Experience hiring and mentoring high-performing engineering teams in an early-stage environment.
• A strong product sense and the ability to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced founding team.
