Coding Black Females x Initi8

At Initi8 Recruitment, we believe diversity is an extremely important value that we are always trying to promote within and outside of work. That’s why we are proud to be supporting Coding Black Females (CBF) on their mission to showcase the skills and talents of black woman in tech.

CBF was created in 2017, because their Founder and CEO, Charlene Hunter MBE, saw that Black women were heavily underrepresented in the tech industry during her career as a Software Developer.

They are a non-profit organisation and their aim is to provide opportunities to Black female developers. CBF encourages Black female developers to grow, meet others, network and build relationships through regular meetups whilst providing support throughout. They also providing opportunities for their community members to learn new skills through free training courses and support through mentoring and other development initiatives.

Whether you’re new to the industry or a tech veteran, a freelancer or a corporate employee, CBF can work with you to empower yourself and the next generation of Black, female coders.

The Initi8 team are excited to join such a wonderful organisation in their journey to train 250,000 black women in a range of tech courses by 2025.

Make sure to visit Coding Black Females to find out more about how you can also get involved.
