He is an experienced Software Engineer specialising in Golang who was unfortunately made redundant from Vendasta and is seeking a new full-time role.
In his last role with Vendasta, he progressed into a Technical Team Lead role where he was working on key parts of the Vendasta B2C selling platform. One of his last projects as completely redesigning and building their customer notification system where he broke down the legacy PHP monolith system to scalable microservices using Golang. Throughout his time at Vendasta Keenan used Golang as his primary language building REST and gRPC APIs with RESTful used for communication. He managed his code in production using Google Cloud Platform using Google App Engine. He worked with both Docker and Kubernetes daily which he enjoyed using and would say he has a DevOps mindset.
Golang as his primary language and feels confident using Golang. He retains an understanding in Python and JavaScript where at Vendasta he often did UI development building customer dashboard with Angular11.
The redundancy news came as a shock to Keenan having been a key member of the business. He is based in Saskatoon, he is a great communicator and a Canadian Citizen. He can interview and start immediately with no immediate planned vacations.
