A technology-focused Project Manager / Delivery Manager with strong communication skills and 25+ years industry experience. He is accomplished in leading and managing teams of up to 30 (both in-house and remotely / offshore). He is skilled in cost, risk, and resource management to bring complex projects to fruition in heavily regulated industries (banking and nuclear). Having spent the early part of his career as a database developer and DBA, he is entirely comfortable running technical projects and being hands-on when the situation requires it.
In his last role he was working within the Digital Adoption Program, the aim of which is driving traffic to online journeys / solutions, to increase the percentage of customers who choose to interact via digital channels first. The ultimate end state is to be proactively directing customers towards the mobile app, which is happening in a number of phases. He delivered cost-savings of £0.9M to the business in Phase 1, with similar year-on-year savings planned / expected from Phase 2. He also Regular meetings with Customer Care teams to coordinate effort required from BAU teams in other parts of the business, such as IVR, LivePerson, Google Analytics, etc.
