An experienced Software Engineer with over 16 years’ experience who is seeking a new role due to his employer Voyager going into liquidation.
In his role he was a Senior Engineer working on feature development and system architecture of the main crypto trading platform and marketplace. With a large customer base handling thousands of transactions per second, one of his main achievements was redesigning and implementing a routing/transaction module. He moved the design to event-driven microservices with Kafka and Redis utilizing Golang which led to a performance increase of over 70%. Throughout his role with jhe worked across the full SDLC using Golang which he enjoyed and as a senior was responsible for mentoring junior members and managing pull requests.
Having spent a large part of his career in Java, he switched to Golang in 2021 and is now a big fan of Golang. He still retains a good understanding in Java (up to Java 11) but feels Golang is now his primary language which he wants to focus on. He is a fan of DevOps and enjoys working with clou-native tech within AWS.
Based in Torrance, CA his native country is Ukraine but moved to the US a few years back. Happily based in Torrance, he holds a US Green Card and is a bi-lingual communicator with fluent English.
