Key skills & experience
Based in Atlanta (EDT Timezone), he is a great communicator and able to interview immediately. He is a US Citizen and happy to work in international timezones.
In his current role, he is responsible for designing, building, and scaling their blockchain product which is used within regulated finance and life science sectors. Holding responsibilities as an individual contributor but at a Staff Level, He uses Golang throughout with gRPC, Protobuf and AWS utilizing various autoscaling tool. His role isn’t managerial focused which doesn’t interest him at this moment in time as he prefers to develop & build Golang applications.
Golang is his primary language and is looking for a role where he can get deep into Golang. He has used AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Protobuf and other cloud-native technologies throughout his most recent project work which has been mostly within start-ups. Outside of his full-time work, John organizes the Golang Atlanta meetups which generate lots of interest and brings the Golang community together.
He understands his previous role have been short, but this has been due to him being parachuted in to help startups scale their Golang system from 0 to 1.
