As a product delivery manager you will join the technology team and play a key role in driving the re-development and delivery of our internal platforms.   We're looking for a motivated Product Delivery Manager to take ownership of backlog management, sprint delivery, and strategic change delivery. 

The company currently has a huge backlog to contend with, so to start with the job will be very much product delivery / product owner orientated, as the backlog drops the job will involve more product strategy.

To do this you will work with the CEO, the boarder business, and technology leaders to define /refine the product roadmap, then act as the product owner to groom the backlog and prioritizing killer functionality.  You will then work with the internal technology team, outsourced 3rd party engineers,  to deliver against this roadmap.

This is a company of around 200 people, so whilst you will have budgets to deliver, you will not have a huge team and it is essential that you can wear different hats in order to get things done.  It is changing / growing business where not all the processes have been thought about, as such it is important that you can work with some ambiguity.

Working directly with the board and the CEO you will need great communication skills and the ability to grasp the bigger picture. 

 

 

The ideal candidate will;

 

  • Proven experience of Product management,  Product Owner and product Delivery would be highly desirable within an agile tech environment.
  • Have experience of working
  • Strong skills in backlog management and prioritization, balancing value, risk, and capacity.
  • Experience using stakeholder input, performance data, and market trends to inform product direction.
  • Confident working directly with business users to translate strategic goals into deliverable outcomes.
  • Ability to design and implement high ROI projects using latest external technology developments, particularly AI.
  • Experienced in facilitating agile ceremonies and driving sprint delivery with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Bitbucket.
  • Strong understanding of delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, lead time, rework rates) and how to apply them.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Proven ability to maintain a transparent release calendar and lead delivery retrospectives.
  • Experience of mentoring or managing others is valuable.

 

Bonus Points:

  • Awareness of secure delivery practices (RBAC, patching cycles, application hardening).
  • Exposure to LAMP-stack technologies (Laravel/PHP and MySQL).
  • Familiarity with data-driven delivery practices and integration of reporting outcomes (KPI alignment, Power BI outputs).
  • Background in external-facing application readiness (client portals, integration, API-connected services).

 

The company

This is well known business that work in such an interesting space they often have film crews following their work.  They have 200 staff and have recently been acquired by a PE business. They have a clear aim of doubling turnover in the next 3-5 years and front an central to this is a complete upgrade of their IT platform.

SALARY: £60,000.00 - £70,000.00 per year (dependent on experience)
