Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric & Power BI)

The Job

As a Data Engineer, you will be the architect of our clients data ecosystem. You will design and implement end-to-end solutions within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring our data architecture is robust, scalable, and aligned with our enterprise goals. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Building the Foundation: Implementing Lakehouse, Warehousing, and Notebook solutions within Fabric.
  • Pipeline Construction: Developing ELT/ETL pipelines from diverse sources including ERP (Dynamics Business Central), Finance, Procurement, and BIM/CDE data.
  • Intelligence & Insights: Maintaining semantic models for Power BI to ensure high-performance datasets and clear business KPIs.
  • Governance & Security: Managing the Medallion layer structure, security, lineage, and sensitivity labels.
  • DevOps Excellence: Implementing CI/CD for data artifacts to ensure seamless deployments.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with Estimators, Commercial Managers, and Site Ops to translate complex construction requirements into actionable data models.

About You

You are a data professional who thrives at the intersection of technical engineering and business value. You have a "get things done" attitude and a passion for clean, governed data.

Your Technical Toolkit:

  • Microsoft Fabric: Hands-on expertise with Lakehouse/Warehouse, Dataflows, Pipelines, and PySpark Notebooks.
  • Power BI: Mastery of Star Schema, DAX, RLS, and deployment pipelines.
  • Data Engineering: Deep knowledge of ETL design, partitioning, and data quality frameworks.
  • Programming: Strong SQL and Python (PySpark) skills.
  • Integrations: Experience with API, REST, ODBC, and ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred).
  • DevOps: Solid understanding of Version Control (Git) and CI/CD.
