Key skills & experience
Ivan is an experienced Golang Software Engineer who has recently received his Canadian Open Work VISA and is ready to start a new full-time role.
In his current role with Mail.ru, Ivan is building their CityMobil ride hailing app used by thousands of customers across Russia and Eastern Europe. As a the most senior engineer in his team, Ivan is responsible for designing new architecture and building new features across their web and mobile applications. Using Golang throughout, he uses a mixture of REST and gRPC APIs and is responsible for maximizing concurrency within the application to maximise performance. He uses both RabbitMQ and Kafka brokers to communicate between the microservices and deploys his own code to both AWS and Mail.ru Cloud.
Having come from a Ruby background, Ivan switched to Golang in 2019 and counts Golang as his primary language. He is an AWS certified engineer and enjoys working on event-driven concurrent applications using Golang.
Since obtaining his Canadian Open Work VISA, Ivan is looking to relocate to Canada permanently from Georgia.
Ivan is a good communicator who can interview immediately. He holds a 2 week notice.
