The job
This role is being the technical leader for the Cloud business unit to provide expertise in relation to DevOps to help facilitate the development practices.

You will be joining a business who have chosen the new Azure capabilities in implementing Azure PaaS. You will be delivering technical message to non-technical people whilst also supporting the wider function.
Over the next 12 months, you will be helping to make to enormous organisational changes happen from a technical point of view. Whilst re-platforming most of their core systems towards Azure PaaS. This will be a brand-new greenfield project where the organisation is going through radical change for its digital development teams.
They have chosen Azure PaaS and will be using this to give themselves a digital advantage to their competitors.

Your role will see you working with key stakeholders, and the business at large to understand the strategic direction and translate that into practical solutions that keep pace with this ambitious business.

About you
You’ll be a confident communicator and be able to transition between the business and the technical teams with relative ease. You’ll be a totem for your technical teams, and you’ll be driven to deliver an amazing product. As Cloud Solutions specialist you will have a solid understanding of Azure and its capabilities.

Experience with designing cloud systems would be vital along with having knowledge of the Microsoft such as Microsoft Azure SQL Databases and Azure storage. Also proficient with the use of ARM templates, understanding of Infrastructure as code and Azure Network Security services.
You will probably be heavily involved in design work and often enjoy getting involved in some type of systems engineering and building.

A strong understanding of the fundamental elements of Azure PaaS would be a huge bonus. You will want to work in a fast-paced business where there are loads to do.

Location
Based in Vauxhall (Zone 1 London) our client works a 34.5-hour week and will offer you the flexibility of great output.


Salary
The salary for the position will be up to £67,000 + Benefits.

What is the process
You’ll interview with the lead technical side of the entire programme first off and then with the other DevOps engineers part of the business, the process will be quick 1 or 2 stage process.
