Site Reliability Engineer – Fully Remote

If you’re a Site Reliability Engineer who is looking to move into a greenfield role with complete ownership of the AWS infrastructure at one of the UK’s fastest growing iGaming startup’s, this job is for you.

The Job

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with the business owners and tech team in bringing the current infrastructure in house, making sure everything works as smoothly as possible with the least amount of human intervention. Taking ownership of the AWS environment and pipelines, you’ll be able to define the future AWS roadmap and be able to bring forward the POC containerised orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Rancher. You will be supported by an offshore team in Bulgaria have brought the setup onto the AWS but moving forward you will be the main driver with the growing UK tech team (circa 7 backend/frontend engineers).

The Tech Environment

As a fully AWS-hosted environment, you will have the opportunity to use tools such as SQS, SNS, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambdas and much more. The scripts are built upon Python and Bash but Golang has been used in POC’s. The CI/CD pipelines are setup with Jenkins, and you’ll be able to get hands-on with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK stack) and Kafka for streaming and messaging purposes.

Ideally you will have a strong experience in AWS and have experience building scripts, CI/CD pipelines and follow Agile principles (SCRUM, Kanban).

The Company

The iGaming business is at a very exciting stage where there are about to explode into the sports market. With 2 games already used by 100,000+ users weekly in the UK & EU, they are due to launch in the USA building new games for US sports. Already driving good revenue and additional funding just around the corner, the future looks very rosy, and they are looking to build a strong infrastructure team around their new Site Reliability Engineer.

The Numbers
