Data Engineer – Research / Technology Corporation - Home working/ Warsaw office

The Job

This is a busy Data Engineer role requiring strong skills around Azure Data Factory, Data Modelling (Kimball), Azure Synapse database administration for a research /technology organisation doing more projects around data and AI. This is an initial 6 month contract role which will extend on for a very long time.

You will;

• Data Modelling – design / implement data models, capturing business processes.
• ETL / ELT implementations – design/ implement lean, scalable solutions.
• Azure Synapse Database Administration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal / external teams / third parties.
• Translate business requirements, business process design as well as document project requirements via user stories.

About you

• You will have a strong business intelligence background and hands on experience working as a Data Engineer using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data warehouse, Data Lake, ADF, Power BI, Data bricks, and Python.
• You will have excellent data modelling skills using Kimball dimensional modelling in a big data environment.
• You will be a confident communicator (spoken / written) in English who can build rapport / relationships with internal and external teams.
• Experience working as a Data engineer on digital change projects.
• English language proficiency (spoken / written).

Rate / contract length

Negotiable (market rate) on a B2B basis only.

Initial 6-month contract which will extend longer term.   

Location

Home working with two days per week at the Warsaw office.
