Data Engineer - Remote - EU TimeZone

The Job

Working as a Data engineer you will building and managing the reporting infrastructure for a global business using SQL, Spark, Flink and Python. 

You will;              

build and modify data pipelines, develop and launch new features and own much of the data infrastructure.  

Participate in discussions between the Data science, product, research and engineering teams.

Gather requires from the business and deliver solutions

Participate on support rota for production issues

Maintain high standards of code quality, and encourage the same by providing constructive code reviews to collaborators

The technical environment here is Spark and Flink. You will work with SQL, Spark, Datalakes (S3 and GCS) Python development, Kafka streaming, Apache Airflow and Kubernetes. 

About You

You will be a mid to senior SQL developer with broad data engineering skills covering Spark, Python (or PySpark), you will have knowledge if Snowflake, datalakes, Redshift or Athena and cloud bases systems, the client uses GCP.

Location

100% remote anywhere where time zones cross East coast US and Berlin.

Salary

$4,800 - $5,600 per month

Duration

12 months with a high likely hood of extending
