The project will vary from small regulatory change projects to large transformation changes. The projects you will take on will have a huge impact on the business that you work in and will vary greatly.
As a business Project Manager, you will often work with an IT project manager who will manage the technical aspects of the project, as such we are not looking for someone who has just delivered IT projects.
You will liaise with stakeholders, suppliers and various teams in the business to ensure the timely delivery of your project, whilst reporting to stakeholders and controlling spend in terms of time and materials.
You will work as part of a larger project management team at level 3 (level 4 is the most senior) and you will be well supported whilst you get to grips with the business. You will also have a very clear progression route in terms of your career.
You will be an experienced project manager and you will have worked for a financial services company in the past. If you have worked in General Insurance, my client will be delighted. As a project manager you will have deliver projects using structured methodologies or techniques (Prince 2, Agile, APM, etc). We do not mind if you are more Agile or more Waterfall, it will just affect which projects you take on in the short term.
My client is a household name in the general insurance space and a part of a much larger financial services company. They rank consistently high in terms of staff engagement, have won awards for being the best company to work for if you have a family and seem to employ friendly / supportive people.
They have undergone a lot of change in the last 10 years and have done so with a positive attitude.
Why would take on this job?
You will take on this project manager job if you are looking for interesting working environment and challenging projects. You will love the work life balance the company has consistently given its employees. This is reflected in a 35 hour week, 30 days holiday and genuine flexitime.
This is a company where progression will seek you out and where you can build a great career.
