Application Monitoring Analyst (Splunk)

The job

Application Monitoring Analyst is required to join a supportive /friendly Application Support team whose main remit is to focus support around their core Broker systems across the Home / Motor Personal lines space.  This is a busy role as there are numerous alerts created on a daily basis which requires it’s own dedicated Application Monitoring Analyst using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace to minimise outages and ensure a high quality service is maintained.

Alongside core application monitoring responsibilities (creating indexes, scripts), you will also be required to conduct analysis, lead discussions in important stakeholder meetings and present reports confidently. Part of you role will also involve working with 3rd Parties, holding them to account in terms of delivery expectations.

Therefore, this is a highly challenging role where you will be plenty of training on the Broker systems to support your existing skills around Splunk and Dynatrace.  There is a potential for this role to become more permanent but this will be assessed fuller closer towards the initial end of the 12 months.

About you

The ideal candidate will be an Application Monitoring Analyst with strong Application Monitoring experience using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk or Nagios and ideally have an insurance industry background. Any experience supporting on Broker systems specifically will be highly advantageous.

Any PL/SQL scripting skills is also highly desirable.

You will be able to demonstrate strong analysis skills and experience working with 3rd parties, confident communication and presentation skills.
